Our team of residents, businesses, community leaders, and local agencies are working hard to ensure that this neighborhood realizes its full potential.

Adopt-A-Block
Home Renovation Program
Made available to existing homeowners in Midtown, this program extends the Atlantic County Improvement Authority’s (ACIA) current Home Improvement loan program, by offering an additional $25,000 to
homeowners as a grant. The addition of Midtown CDC funds would bring the total
dollars available to homeowners for improvements up to $50,000.

Down Payment Assistance
Midtown’s Down Payment Assistance Program may provide up to 10% in down-payment assistance to buyers. This is made available to help promote primary home ownership and neighborhood stabilization in the Midtown neighborhood. These programs are funded fully by the Midtown CDC.
Midtown CDC program provides:
- A grant for 10% of the purchase price
- Maximum grant amount not to exceed $20,000
- Forgivable loan 20% per year for 5 years
Eligible Applicants
- Household income may not surpass 150% of area median income
- Interested buyers are required to participate in home buying classes prior to purchase
Eligible Properties
- Single family properties including townhouses and condos located within Midtown CDC
- Sales price of the property cannot exceed $481,000
- Property must be primary residence and maintained as same.

Adopt-A-Block
Midtown’s Adopt-a-Block program is an anti-litter, community-empowering program in partnership with the City of Atlantic City, our neighbors, and business owners. The Midtown CDC will provide support and resources to people who want to lead the charge against heavy litter, illegal dumping, and debris in the public spaces in their neighborhood.
Beautify your block in the Midtown neighborhood and help to create a cleaner and safer community! Street by street, neighbors, business owners, and volunteers will come together for community cleanups and events. To learn more, email [email protected].
