The heartbeat of Atlantic City: How Midtown is redefining its future
ATLANTIC CITY — Home to some of the city’s key business and tourist attractions, including three casinos as well as landmarks like the Civil Rights Garden and Brighton Park, there is a steady hum of energy emanating from the resort’s Midtown neighborhood.
The growth of a restaurant and bar scene in the city’s Orange Loop beach block, as well as the 2022 opening of AtlantiCare’s $38.3 million medical arts pavilion, has added even more life to the streets and skyline. Nearby, Atlantic Cape Community College offers another magnet for activity and learning.
“We’ve recently coined the phrase that we’re the heartbeat of Atlantic City,” said Samantha Kiley, chairperson for the Midtown Atlantic City Community Development Corp.
